While I do have my fair share of buying tacky souvenirs, something I see everywhere and really hate are those black tote bags with a city name printed all over in white (see left). I mean, while it's nice to show off your favourite city on a bag and declare your love for said city to the world, at the same time, those bags are just plain ugly (even if they weren't so ugly, the thought of having to choose just one city to declare as my favourite seems like an impossible task).
On the topic of tote bags, with the summer sadly coming to an end, and university just around the corner, some of you may be shopping for the perfect bag to lug your textbooks around on campus this year.
With that said, here's a few of my favourite tote bags to satisfy the wanderlust in all of us:

I own the American Apparel bag (the version I have has a strap so I can use it as a messenger bag), which I love. And in case you're wondering, the cities I've been to are: Montreal, Paris, New York, Berlin (will make a post about my time there sometime soon) and Chicago. Which ones have you visited?
awesome bags i love that . good work :)

Oh, I LOVE the Phone box/dinosaur combo ... but I'd have to pick the Aussie thongs!! I used to loathe crappy souvenirs, but now my partner & I make a game to pick the tackiest one we can find. Visitors don't know which way to look when we 'show off' our 'finds' as if they're serious!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is quite a nice blog, I think I will bookmark it.
ReplyDeleteEspecially the posts about Germany are quite entertaining, as one does not realize the strange things about ones own country. I never really nitpicked the differences between Canada and Germany when I lived in that awesome country of yours, but thinking back to those days, yes there are quite a few differences...
I am sure you will have a lot of fun living in Germany :)
I think I need all of these bags. Yes, need. ;)
